Mercedes's
production site of Untertürkheim
The Mercedes production site of
Untertürkheim is bigger than Monaco.
It brings together the engine,
suspensions, axles, comonents, foundry forge and gearboxes
productions.
It also contains research and
development, for example with the reading corner that allows the
testing of new vehicles, but also the headquarters of Daimler.
Our groupe visited the bodies'
assembly, and this from little parts until the chassis and the
bodywork wedding.
We saw automatics and also
manufactured lines.
The production volume is really
important.
