Mercedes Factory

The production site is bigger than Monaco. There are two roads for test drives. The cars are on a travelator, the travelator moves continuously. Throughout the way there are lot of workshops, this succession of workshops makes the new cars.

In this factory, there are presses which make parts and these parts constitute the car. The molding of the parts changes every 3 hours and that creates a new car every 8 minutes. The factory produces one Mercedes every 55.9 sec and 600 Mercedes every day. We have estimated the factory is composed of 80% robots and 20% of humans deployed in different workshops just because the robot can't do everything.

We noticed Mercedes-benz uses a lot of aluminum material for example the wings.
The use of aluminum allows the cars to be lighter

At the end of the travelor, the car is submitted to infrared tests to control the body
