Visits of the Mercedes Benz and Porshe museums

Mercedes Bens Museum
Porshe Museum

During our stay in Stuttgart, we had the opportunity to visit two big sites of the automobile European which are Mercedes Benz and Porshe. First, on the architectural plan, The Mercedes Benz museum has a very vast and very well structured space. This one possesses an immense stadium of football to his name " Mercedes Benz Arena ".

And more we traveled streets in the surroundings, more we had this impression to be in the private district reserved for Mercredes. What was interesting in the museum, according to us, it was this impression of chronology found in the last floor. This competition between Benz and Daimler was at the same time interesting and impressionante.

For example, in 1889, Daimler gives birth to the first engine in two cylinders allowing to sprint. Inparallel, Benz conceive the 5hp in two cylinders with pistons opposites. These competition between both inventors will allow the evolution of the automobile.

In spite of the beautiful cars which proposed us the Porshe museum, this site was interesting only on the artchitectural plan: a flying saucer! A very ingenious idea, stressed by the choice of materials. The aluminum evoking the skin of the snake, the reinforced concrete for the idea of columns.
The museum similar to a circuit of formula 1. The themes of speed and movement was very well illustrated.
