Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart(Charlie and Anaïs)

The Mercedes-Benz Car Museum

The 2nd day of our stay in Stuttgart, our group visited the Mercedes-Benz museum in the afternoon. The architecture of this museum represents the Mercedes brand inside view, the building is made of aluminium and glass.

Opened in 2006, the museum of 16000m² exposes 160 cars in big rooms. It is presented as a spiral.
There are all types of cars, from the first creation of Mercedes through cars service, transportation, luxury ... to race cars.

Tthere are 3 elevators with floodlights which enable us to access the top of the building.

In 1886 the German inventor Gottlieb Daimler invented the internal combustion engine with Wilhelm Maybach in Cannstatt near Stuttgart (Kingdom of Württemberg) and the company founded Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft in 1890 with Wilhelm Maybach (chief engineer) and his son Paul Daimler successor after his death in 1900. In 1896, G. W. Daimler entered the era of the truck industry with its first rear-engine 1.5 ton.
